Rob brings a long record of market access success to his role as president. His significant contributions were evident from the start—formulating high-value analyses of payer influence, leading the creation of 3 proprietary digital tools, building a strategic approach to account planning, and developing innovative strategies to optimize field resources. Prior to joining Payer Sciences, Rob served as vice president at the Marwood Group, advising private equity firms during acquisition of medical device or biotech companies. Before that, he spent 10 years as a healthcare management consultant, completing rigorous analyses and developing pricing, contracting, and channel strategies. Rob holds a BA from Wesleyan University and lives in northern New Jersey with his wife and 2 daughters. Rob reminisces about flying a plane before he was old enough to drive a car, and he hopes to fly again one day. In the meantime, he is in pursuit of the perfect margarita.

Rebecca leads the creative side of Payer Sciences, providing strategic oversight on client positioning and communications. She is a 25-year veteran in the biopharmaceutical space and was one of the first Payer Sciences employees. Before that, she served as vice president of strategy and business development at Eden Communications Group, a patient and physician education firm. Rebecca spent 10 years at Ciba/Novartis in positions mostly within brand management, including directing the launch of Diovan, a blockbuster angiotensin II receptor blocker. Rebecca holds a BA from Cornell University, an MA in psychology from the University of Michigan, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Rebecca loves following the adventures of her 2 adult daughters, reading nonfiction and historical fiction (Erik Larson is a favorite author), and enjoying IPAs (“Pliney the Elder is perfection,” she says).

With more than 25 years of leadership in healthcare communications, John is the backbone of Payer Sciences’ operations. In prior roles, John directed project management, editorial, and creative teams as general manager of Maxcess Managed Markets; managed delivery staff and oversaw all stages of project and content development as executive vice president of operations at Emron; and owned and operated an independent business that supplied support services for pharmaceutical promotional and educational programs. As Payer Sciences grew from a small start-up to a multifaceted operation, John has been at the center of key decisions and responsibilities across human resources, finance, procurement, and project delivery. John holds a BS from William Paterson University. He is also able to fix almost anything, having constructed his own home in northern New Jersey. “Call John” is a near-universal response inside Payer Sciences whenever something breaks, and he takes it stride.

Ambar is a veteran finance professional with more than 20 years of experience in public and private accounting. He has held a range of auditing and accounting positions at BDO, PwC, AIG, and Colony Capital. His focus is on maintaining fiscal health, performing financial reporting, and being an agile business partner by communicating across all levels of the organization. Ambar has a BS from Rutgers University and is a certified public accountant in New York and New Jersey. In his spare time, Ambar helps coach his son’s travel baseball team.

Michele is an experienced professional well versed in global and domestic HR operations, mergers and acquisitions, compensation and benefits, performance management, and employee relations. At Payer Sciences, Michele’s ability to connect with people in a smaller organization is complemented by the opportunities she can offer as part of the larger Publicis Health group. Before joining Payer Sciences, Michele worked in many different industries with roles at companies such as HHG/Merrill Lynch, Dentsu, Weight Watchers International, and Fractal Analytics. Michele holds a BS from Saint Peter’s College and an MS in training and development from Fordham University. Michele knows being an aunt is the best job she’s ever had. She loves gardening, crafting, cooking, hosting events, and reading mystery novels, and will give anything for a day on the beach.

With more than 3 decades of work in market access, Eric has a keen vision for where payer marketing has been and where it’s going. He grew his career in market access and health economics at Novartis and Sanofi and went on to lead Maxcess Managed Markets, which was part of Publicis Health. An entrepreneur at heart, Eric became one of the founders of Payer Sciences in 2009. He applied his values to build Payer Sciences around strong analytics, collaborative culture, high standards of excellence, and commitment to work-life balance. Eric came full circle when Publicis Health recognized the success of Payer Sciences and bought the firm in 2018. While no longer involved in day-to-day management, Eric continues to serve as a consultant for Payer Sciences and Publicis Health.
